Hi, I'm Genevieve!

I help writers unearth the stories in their hearts, get that deep wisdom on the page, and create breakthrough books. Whether serving as a collaborator or editor, my purpose is always the same: to help bring important stories and great writing into the world.

Before I became my own boss, I was the features director of Glamour. I've also been the editorial director of Seventeen online and a story editor at The New York Times Magazine.

Early in my career, I co-founded the three-time-Webby-Award-winning Nerve, a feminist magazine and dating site that Entertainment Weekly described as “Playboy’s body with the New Yorker’s brain.”

A longtime New Yorker, I now live in Petaluma, California, with my husband, Ted McCann, and two sons, Finn and Oliver.
